Introducing the OneIdP LAPS Solution

We are excited to announce the OneIdP Local Administrator Password Solution (LAPS), a comprehensive tool designed to enhance local admin credential security through automated management and rotation. Key Highlights:

• Automatically manages and periodically rotates local admin passwords to ensure strong security and compliance.

• Choose which accounts are managed by LAPS, define password rotation frequency, and set automated actions to take when passwords are changed.

• Advanced Account Controls:

  • Automatically recreate managed admin accounts if deleted.

  • Ensure accounts remain in the Admin group if modified.

  • Reset passwords if they’re manually changed outside of policy.

• Admins can securely share a one-time use code that allows end users to view the current local admin password on demand. Once used, the password is automatically rotated according to policy.

• On macOS, users with Just-in-Time (JIT) admin access can now also view the local admin password when needed.

• Gain full visibility with detailed reports that include password usage logs, rotation activity, and a history of the last five passwords per device.

   We have completely revamped our Application Catalog and third-party application patching experience. These enhancements deliver significant improvements in performance, reliability, and overall quality — ensuring faster deployments and a smoother app management experience.

2. Support for Windows 11 25H2

   
   The Scalefusion MDM Agent now fully supports and is compatible with Windows 11 version 25H2, ensuring seamless device management on the latest Windows release.

macOS

1. Veltar Compliance Now Supports CIS Level 2 Benchmarks

   
   We have expanded the Veltar Compliance module to fully support CIS Level 2 Benchmarks for iOS, iPadOS, and macOS devices. With this update, IT admins can easily enforce CIS Level 2 compliance across their Apple fleet with just one click and quickly view the overall compliance score for their organization.

2. Agent-Based Upgrades for Scalefusion and Remote Support

   
   The Scalefusion and Remote Support macOS apps now support agent-based upgrades, ensuring smoother and more reliable updates. This enhancement prevents upgrade failures that could occur when macOS blocks updates while an app is active. Available from:

3. Block Apple System Apps with Veltar Application Control

   
   You can now block Apple system apps like Time Machine or Migration Assistant using Veltar’s Application Control.

   Note: Apple system apps can only be blocked using the BlockList policy and are not supported under the AllowList policy.
