Release Notes:

Android

  1. Compatibility Improvements with Google Play Store and Play Protect

We have updated Scalefusion to ensure full compatibility with Google Play Store policies and Play Protect checks. This update removes older code components that were occasionally flagged by Play Protect, preventing Scalefusion from being incorrectly marked as a harmful app.

    1. Accessibility Service Removal: The Accessibility Service previously used only on a limited number of devices has been removed. With modern EMM enrollment methods, this service is no longer required for device management.

    2. Admin Notification: To keep Admins informed, a new alert dialog will appear when publishing this version, highlighting the change in accessibility service usage.

  2. Improved Device Status and Visibility

We have enhanced how device status, management state, and enrollment state are reported across the Device Inventory Report and Developer APIs to provide IT Admins with clearer insights into device health and management.

    1. Enrollment State: Now shows detailed information about the enrollment process such as when enrollment has started but not completed, when required permissions are pending, or when a work profile creation attempt has failed. This helps Admins quickly identify where a device is stuck during enrollment.

    2. Management State: Provides a clear indication of whether a device is currently managed or unmanaged.

    3. Status: Reflects the current policy compliance state of the device, helping Admins assess whether all configurations are applied successfully.

  3. Enhanced Google Play Protect Attestation

We have strengthened Google Play Protect verification during device enrollment. Devices that fail attestation will now be blocked from enrolling, ensuring only secure and verified devices are managed.

Note: This check applies only when Compliance Checks are enabled in the Device Profile.

Enhanced Remote Support Consent Controls

  1. Linux Remote Terminal Consent: IT Admins can now require user consent before starting a Remote Terminal session on GUI-supported Linux devices.

  2. Per-Platform Consent Configuration: Admins can configure consent behavior separately for each platform (Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, etc.) under Global Remote Support Settings.

OneIdP Enhancements

  1. Simplified Directory Setup: IT Admins can now easily set up directories by signing in with their Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 credentials to import domains eliminating the need for DNS or MX record verification.

  2. Pending Activation Report: Admins can now download a report of users who have received OneIdP invitations but haven’t activated their accounts yet.

  3. SSO Permission Re-grant: IT Admins can now re-grant permissions in SSO configurations if access has been revoked.

  4. New Apps Added to SSO Marketplace:

    1. Oracle Cloud

    2. Oracle Fusion

Dashboard

  1. Sequential Device Naming Convention: Admins can now enable sequential naming for devices enrolled using QR Code or Enrollment configurations.

    1. Device names with prefixes, suffixes, and numeric patterns (e.g., 01, 001, 0001) now continue numbering sequentially across configurations instead of restarting from “01”.

    2. When enabled, numbering resumes from the last known count; turning it off resets the count based on enrolled devices.

  2. Bulk User Deletion: A new option allows Admins to delete up to 2,000 users in bulk from the User Enrollment section. (Use this option with caution)

  3. Improved Performance: Enhanced load times and responsiveness across Device Details, User Enrollment, and OneIdP sections for a smoother admin experience.
