Release Notes:

  1. Intune Partner Compliance Integration with Scalefusion Veltar

Scalefusion Veltar now integrates with Microsoft Intune Partner Compliance, enabling organizations to enforce Conditional Access policies while managing devices with Scalefusion. Microsoft Conditional Access is powered by:

    • Microsoft Entra Conditional Access: Allows IT administrators to define rules that control when users and devices can access services such as Microsoft 365 and other apps authenticated via Entra.

    • Microsoft Intune Partner Compliance: Enables third-party MDM solutions like Scalefusion to share device management and compliance status with Microsoft.

By combining these capabilities, organizations can control access to corporate applications based on the compliance and management state of devices managed through Scalefusion. With this integration, IT admins can:

    1. Manage macOS, iOS, iPadOS, Android, and Windows devices using Scalefusion.

    2. Enforce Conditional Access policies through Microsoft based on device compliance.

    3. Configure compliance evaluation based on:

      1. Device management state

      2. Veltar Compliance state

      3. OneIdP XAP status

    4. Access detailed logs and reporting for device compliance states shared with Microsoft.

For Windows devices that are Entra-joined, Conditional Access continues to work as per Microsoft’s standard flow.

  2. Improved Handling of iOS System Apps

With the latest iOS updates, many system apps cannot be silently reinstalled via MDM because they are not available through Apple’s Volume Purchase Program (VPP). To prevent accidental disruption:

    1. Unpublish instead of Uninstall: System apps can now only be unpublished (removed from device mapping), not uninstalled.

    2. Delete & Uninstall Removed: The delete and uninstall options have been removed for system apps.

    3. Blocking on Company Owned Devices: Admins can block access to system apps through device profiles where required.

  3. Enhanced Branding for iPadOS Devices

Branding configurations now support separate wallpaper settings for iPadOS devices. This enhancement allows IT admins to:

    1. Configure device-appropriate wallpapers for iPads.

    2. Use a single branding configuration across profiles that include both iOS and iPadOS devices.
