Simplified Platform SSO for macOS
Simplified Platform SSO (S-PSSO) allows users to sign in with their IdP credentials during Automated Device Enrollment (ADE). This enables unattended enrollment and binding the device to an IdP account at first use.
IT Administrators can configure Simplified PSSO from ADE Settings → macOS Prestage Setup, including fallback options for devices running older macOS versions. Simplified PSSO supports Okta and Microsoft Entra.
macOS MDM Agent Enhancements
DMG and ZIP Application Deployment: The Enterprise Store now supports deploying DMG- and ZIP-based applications using the Scalefusion macOS MDM Agent. IT Administrators can configure:
a. Installation Method: Use standard installation or custom script-based installation.
b. Installation Behavior: Configure the application to always remain installed and choose whether to ignore or respect DND options.
c. Installation Notifications: Display alerts when installation starts and show progress during installations or updates.
d. Installation Detection: Detect application installation or updates based on bundle, file, folder existence, or script-based detection.
e. Pre- and Post-Installation Scripts: Configure scripts to run before and after installation.
Custom Script-Based Installation for PKG Files: PKG application deployment now supports a script-based installation method in addition to the standard installation method.
Windows MDM Agent Enhancements
Enhanced installed application detection logic to prevent the Scalefusion MDM Agent from consuming CPU or memory cycles during application evaluation.
Windows Remote Support Enhancements
Improved Connection Speeds: Connection speeds have been improved by using device location and IP information to determine the best server for the connection.
Windows SmartScreen Compatibility: The Remote Support tool has been updated to prevent it from being marked as dangerous by Windows SmartScreen.
Check Now for Pending Terminal Sessions: The Check Now button in the Remote Support UI on the device polls for pending terminal sessions and starts a session when required. This helps in environments where push channels may be blocked.
Updated Setup Guidance for Intune Partner Compliance
The Intune Partner Compliance setup flow has been updated with additional guidance following Microsoft's changes to the evaluation criteria for Baseline Scopes, which impact Conditional Access Policies.
