Q: Which printer models are compatible with Scalefusion?

  • RJ 3250WB

  • PJ 883

Minimum Requirements

  1. Hardware

    1. Brother Printers with Device Conductor compatibility.

    2. Network infrastructure to support printer connectivity.

    3. Windows system having OS 10 and above

  2. Software

    1. Scalefusion MDM platform

    2. Brother Device Conductor installed on Windows system.

    3. Administrator access to the Scalefusion console and Brother Printer settings.

  3. Network

    1. Reliable network connection for communication between Scalefusion and Brother Printers.

    2. Appropriate network configurations (e.g., IP addresses, firewall rules, IIS) to allow Scalefusion access to DC.

How it Works

Scalefusion communicates with IIS (Internet Information Services), which in turn relays requests to the Device Conductor. The Device Conductor manages the devices and retrieves/stores data in the MS SQL database. All communication between these components is secured using HTTPS. The Device Conductor plays the central role in managing the devices and interacting with the database. As a result, following are the steps involved:

  1. Download Device Conductor: Download the Brother Device Conductor (DC) software from Brother's Business Machine Solutions (BMS) partner portal.

  2. Install Device Conductor: Install the DC software on a Windows 10 or higher machine.

  3. Network Placement: Ensure the Windows machine running the DC is on the same network as the Brother printers you wish to manage.

  4. Configure in Scalefusion: Once the Device Conductor is installed and configured according to Brother's instructions, proceed to configure the connection within the Scalefusion dashboard by clicking Configure Device Conductor.

Next Steps

Follow these guides to start managing Printers via Scalefusion:

  1. Setup Connection

  2. Create Printer Device Profile
