Version Information:

  • Scalefusion Dashboard: v66.2.0

  • Scalefusion Windows MDM Agent: v16.13.0

Release Notes:

  1. Windows

    1. Agent-Driven Password Policy

IT administrators can now enforce Windows password policies using the Scalefusion MDM Agent as an alternative to Windows CSP (Modern Management). The agent-driven approach provides enhanced password management capabilities to help organizations meet their security and compliance requirements.

You can choose the password policy method from Utilities > Global Settings > Windows Settings by selecting either Modern Management (Windows CSP) or Scalefusion MDM Agent

      1. New password policy options

The following password policy settings are now available with the Scalefusion MDM Agent:

        • Configure a minimum password age to prevent users from changing their passwords too frequently.

        • Configure a maximum password age to require periodic password changes.

        • Specify the number of days before password expiry to notify users to change their password.

        • Restrict the use of blank-password accounts to local console sign-ins, preventing remote logins with blank passwords.

      2. Password Policy Configuration Migration

To simplify the management of multiple password policy configurations, password policy overrides have been moved from Device Profiles to Advanced Configurations. As part of this change, existing profile-level custom password policies are automatically migrated to corresponding configuration entities.

    2. Unlock Local User Accounts

Administrators can now unlock local user accounts that have been reported as locked by the Scalefusion MDM Agent directly from Device Details > User Account Management.

    3. Bug Fixes

    • Fixed an issue that caused the status of Winget-based application patches to be reported incorrectly.

  2. macOS

    1. Increased Package Upload Limits

Package upload size restrictions for macOS applications have been removed, making it easier to deploy large application packages. Please note the following:

      1. For packages up to 500 MB, Scalefusion automatically attempts to detect and populate the bundle ID and MD5 checksum.

      2. For packages larger than 500 MB, you must manually provide the bundle ID and the MD5 checksum during package configuration.
