Transparency in Web-Content Filtering Sources
Scalefusion now discloses all the sources used for its web-content filtering database. IT administrators can easily access and review these sources directly from the Dashboard by selecting View Sources in the Configuration section of Veltar SWG.Automated Weekly Sync with Filtering Sources
The web-content filtering database now automatically syncs with all listed sources on a weekly basis. Previously, this sync was manual and performed on-demand. This update ensures your filtering policies are consistently up to date with the latest domain data.
Battery Health Monitoring for Apple Devices
Scalefusion now retrieves and displays battery health information for Apple devices using the MDM protocol. Battery health status can be viewed in:

Developer API:
/api/v2/devices/{id}.json
Supported Devices and Platforms:
iPhone: iOS 17.0 and later
iPad: iPadOS 17.0 and later, including iPad Pro (M4), iPad Air (M2 & M3), iPad mini (A17 Pro), and iPad (A16)
Mac: macOS 14.4 and later
Standardizing macOS OS & Update Management
To align with Apple’s latest recommendations, Scalefusion has transitioned from the deprecated MDM query method to using the Apple Lookup API for determining compatible macOS updates. This change enhances accuracy by providing better insights into which macOS updates are supported on each device.
Compatibility
The new approach applies to macOS 14 and above.
Devices running older macOS versions continue to be supported via the legacy update method.
Key Changes & Impact:
Config and Other Updates categories are no longer supported in OS updates.
Updates outside of the standard OS update categories (minor or major) will be marked as deprecated.
Additional update details such as Product Key, Size, Deferred Until, and Requires Reboot are no longer available due to API limitations.
The Requires Reboot flag is now considered unnecessary, as devices automatically reboot after updates with the DDM-based approach.
