Release Notes:

Windows

  1. OS Update Rollback

    1. Scalefusion now supports rolling back or uninstalling Windows OS updates and patches on enrolled devices. This feature is crucial for addressing issues such as compatibility problems, application failures, or performance degradation that may arise after an update.

  2. Enhanced Update Control

    1. Administrators can now disable automatic updates and prevent users from manually updating devices through the Windows Settings app.

  3. Scalefusion Windows Deployer

    1. The Scalefusion Deployer now features an OTP-based login mechanism, replacing the previous password-based login. This enhancement expands accessibility to all account types, including those using Google Workspace or Microsoft 365, which were not compatible with the password-based system.

macOS

  1. Device Power ON/OFF Reports

    1. Support for Power ON/OFF reports has been extended to macOS devices.

  2. Improved Firewall Settings:

    1. The firewall configuration options in Device Profiles have been enhanced. IT administrators can now choose not to configure the firewall setting at all. Administrators can select a “Do Not Configure" option, in which case the firewall setting is not applied, and the end-user retains control.

  3. Bug Fixes

    1. Resolved an issue where enforced OS updates could not be manually initiated from the self-service section of the MDM agent.

    2. Fixed an issue where the Wi-Fi connector icon on the Keycard appeared disconnected even when Wi-Fi was connected.

    3. Addressed an issue where the ADE administrator's password was sometimes lost after agent installation.

    4. Resolved Keycard issues that caused a login loop after resetting the password.

    5. Improved the logic for removing Keycard when the Scalefusion MDM agent is uninstalled.

Identity and Access Enhancements

  1. Securing Microsoft 365 Access on iOS

    1. The Scalefusion MDM Agent and OneIDP SSO handling for iOS BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) and CO (Company Owned) devices have been enhanced to provide more secure access to Microsoft 365 apps. With this, only applications managed through the Scalefusion Dashboard can log in to Microsoft 365 apps. Personal apps and web browsers are blocked from accessing these resources.

    2. To achieve complete security, IT administrators must also make configuration changes in the Azure AD/Entra portal,

    3. As a result of these changes, users will no longer be able to access Microsoft 365 from the Safari browser, as Safari cannot be managed.

  2. Signed-In User Email:

    1. IT administrators can now view the signed-in user email address for a device.

  3. Bookmarks in User Portal:

    1. It has been observed that some services, such as Microsoft 365, do not support IdP-initiated SSO, which can cause login failures when initiated from the user portal. To address this, administrators can now add bookmarks to the user portal for such services. A new option allows administrators to disable IdP-initiated SSO for a specific URL, enabling the bookmark to function as a regular shortcut.

Android Enterprise App Configuration Enhancements

  1. Simplified App Configuration: Scalefusion now supports a general app configuration that applies across all releases of an app, eliminating the need to create a new configuration entity with each app update.

  2. Version-Aware Configuration Keys: To address potential changes in app releases (such as new or removed configuration keys), each key in the app configuration now displays a version label if there are multiple versions of the same enterprise app. This allows administrators to easily identify and manage configuration differences between releases.
