Release Notes:

  1. Identity Federation with External Identity Providers

This release introduces Identity Federation, enabling IT admins to connect existing Identity Providers (IdPs) and allow users to authenticate to SSO configurations with their current credentials, eliminating the need to create and distribute new passwords when importing users, simplifying the transition to OneIdP. Following are the supported external IdPs:

    1. Google LDAP

    2. Okta

    3. PingOne

    4. Any SAML-based IdP

    5. Microsoft Entra (for non-Office 365 apps only)

    6. Microsoft On-Prem AD (already supported via OPC)

Once configured, an external IdP can be set as the federated authentication mode for a user directory.

Note: Using Entra as an external IdP allows access to other apps (e.g., Zoho, Salesforce) but not Office 365 applications. This integration will not solve the federation challenge for Entra/O365 apps.

  2. Web Content Filtering Analytics

We have introduced Web Content Filtering Analytics, providing IT admins with insights into the effectiveness of content filtering policies implemented via Veltar's Secure Web Gateway. Here are the highlights:

    1. View the total number of devices with the content filter activated, providing an overview of monitoring coverage.

    2. Gain insights into browsing trends to inform policy adjustments.

    3. Track the total number of unique domains blocked and explicitly allowed.

    4. Identify the top categories and subcategories being blocked, ranked by frequency.

    5. Access detailed browsing history for each device.

    6. Downloadable reports for compliance or internal audits.

  3. Veltar Officially Released

Veltar is now out of beta! Users can self-activate and try the feature, similar to the OneIdP trial process.
