Release Notes:

1. Location for Linux Devices

   IT Admins can now enable Location collection for their Linux inventory

   1. From Global Settings

   2. From Profile

   By default, location is captured using the Google Chrome browser (if installed) when enabled through Global Settings. Administrators can alternatively configure their own Google Maps API key for higher accuracy and improved quality of service, which is recommended for most environments, or use onboard GPS hardware for devices that support it, such as IoT or specialized systems.

2. Apple Configurations

   Apple device management now includes a new Apple Configurations experience, featuring an updated user interface that allows IT administrators to create configurations once and apply them across multiple profiles.

   2. Updates to Custom Payloads

      1. Custom Payloads have been relocated under Apple Configurations as a new section called Custom Configuration. This update enables administrators to:

         • Deploy multiple configurations independently, instead of combining them into a single payload

         • More easily test new payloads or associate configurations with different profiles, improving flexibility and maintainability.
