Custom Setting Payloads
Apple’s MDM protocol supports a wide range of payloads that can be used to configure settings and enforce policies on managed devices. Scalefusion leverages these configuration profiles to deliver device management capabilities. However, because Apple offers numerous payload options covering many different controls, it is not always practical to provide a dedicated form or UI for every single one. To address this, Scalefusion gives advanced IT administrators the flexibility to create custom payloads and deploy them to devices directly through the dashboard.
Commonly used payloads
Apple offers a large number of MDM payloads that allow administrators to configure settings, apply restrictions, and customize the device experience. While some payloads are designed for highly specific use cases, others are commonly used across most deployments for day-to-day management needs.
Below is a list of payloads that can help you manage your iOS devices more effectively. Additionally, you can explore our Apple Configuration feature, which provides a centralized and flexible way to manage custom payloads—making configuration management more organized, reusable, and consistent.
