Device Attestation & Jailbreak Detection
We have introduced support for Device Attestation, a platform-specific method to verify device integrity and identity, ensuring only trusted devices remain in your environment. This helps protect against compromised or impersonated devices. Following are the key features:
Platform Support
Android: Backed by Google Play Protect Attestation
iOS / iPadOS / macOS: Backed by Apple Managed Device Attestation
Supported on iOS 16, iPadOS 16.1, and macOS 14
Admins can enable and manage attestation checks through Device Profiles
Monitoring & Compliance Actions
Configure periodic attestation checks to detect:
Failed attestation status
Jailbroken devices
Take automated actions such as:
Unenrollment
Factory reset (Supported only on Company Owned-supervised iOS devices)
Note: Jailbreak and attestation checks are periodic, and frequency is configurable by IT Admins.
Jailbreak Detection (iOS/iPadOS)
Now supported in addition to attestation.
Requires Scalefusion MDM Agent to be installed and configured.
Available for both Supervised and Unsupervised devices (Unsupervised supports unenrollment only; factory reset is not supported).
Visibility & Reporting
Device attestation status is now visible in:
Devices View (as a new column)
Device Inventory Reports
Automation Support
Create Automation Rules in Device Groups (DG) and User Groups (UG) based on attestation status
Trigger automatic remediation workflows for non-compliant devices
