# Zebra: Firmware Over-The-Air (FOTA) Update for Printers

## Introduction

**Firmware Over-The-Air (FOTA) Update** for Zebra Printers is a remote update feature that allows administrators to wirelessly deliver and install the latest firmware to Zebra printers over a network. Instead of manually connecting to each device, FOTA enables seamless, centralized firmware upgrades using protocols like MQTT or cloud services, ensuring devices stay up-to-date with the latest features, security patches, and performance improvements without physical intervention.

## Creating a custom FOTA configuration

1. Navigate to the **Update & Patch Management** > **Printer FOTA** on the Scalefusion dashboard.
2. Click the **Create FOTA Configuration** button to launch the configuration wizard and begin setting up the configuration.
