# Turn Off/On LAN adapter on Windows devices.

The following PowerShell scripts helps IT Admins to turn on or off the LAN network adapter on Windows 10 and above devices.

## (A) Turn off LAN network

1. Create a file on your desktop, for example, **turn_off_network.ps1** and open it in a text editor like notepad++
2. Copy the contents below to the file or click [here](https://cdn.document360.io/175c0eac-012f-4410-bdc5-ac60794f82d8/Images/Documentation/turnoffnetwork.ps1) to download the file.
  1. Please provide exact name of your LAN network in the script.

```powershell
netsh interface set interface "name_of_the_LAN_network" admin=disable
```

## (B) Turn on LAN network

1. Create a file on your desktop, for example, **turn_on_network.ps1** and open it in a text editor like notepad++
2. Copy the contents below to the file or click [here](https://cdn.document360.io/175c0eac-012f-4410-bdc5-ac60794f82d8/Images/Documentation/turn_on_network.ps1) to download the file.
  1. Please provide exact name of your LAN network in the script.

```powershell
netsh interface set interface "name_of_the_LAN_network" admin=enable
```

- Please select the **Execution Level** as **Device** while uploading the script on Scalefusion dashboard.
