# Scalefusion August 8th, 2025 Release Notes

## Release Notes:

**Device Attestation & Jailbreak Detection**

We have introduced support for **Device Attestation**, a platform-specific method to verify device integrity and identity, ensuring only trusted devices remain in your environment. This helps protect against compromised or impersonated devices. Following are the key features:

1. **Platform Support**
  1. **Android**: Backed by Google Play Protect Attestation
  2. [**iOS / iPadOS**](/docs/device-attestation) **/** [**macOS**](/docs/device-attestation-1): Backed by Apple Managed Device Attestation
    1. Supported on iOS 16, iPadOS 16.1, and macOS 14
2. Admins can enable and manage attestation checks through **Device Profiles**
3. **Monitoring & Compliance Actions**

> Note: Jailbreak and attestation checks are **periodic**, and frequency is configurable by IT Admins.
  1. Configure periodic attestation checks to detect:
    1. Failed attestation status
    2. Jailbroken devices
  2. Take automated actions such as:
    1. Unenrollment
    2. Factory reset *(Supported only on Company Owned-supervised iOS devices)*
4. **Jailbreak Detection (iOS/iPadOS)**
  1. Now supported in addition to attestation.
  2. Requires Scalefusion MDM Agent to be installed and configured.
  3. Available for both Supervised and Unsupervised devices (Unsupervised supports unenrollment only; factory reset is not supported).
5. **Visibility & Reporting**

Device attestation status is now visible in:
  1. Devices View (as a new column)
  2. Device Inventory Reports
6. **Automation Support**
  1. Create Automation Rules in Device Groups (DG) and User Groups (UG) based on attestation status
  2. Trigger automatic remediation workflows for non-compliant devices
