# Scalefusion August 28th, 2025 Release Notes

## Release Notes:

1. [**FileVault Key Rotation Enhancements**](/docs/rotating-filevault-keys)

Scalefusion now allows IT Admins to configure and automate the rotation of the **FileVault Personal Recovery Key** in alignment with Apple’s recommended best practices. Regular key rotation ensures security, prevents unauthorized access, and handles cases of expired or used keys.
  1. **Configuration Options**
    1. Rotation Frequency: Set how often the personal recovery key should rotate (between 1–360 days).
    2. Silent Rotation Fallback: If silent key rotation fails, prompt the user with a customizable message and timeout period to complete rotation via the Scalefusion Agent.
    3. Key Validity Check Frequency: Define how often the platform should check for key validity.
    4. Auto-Rotation on Invalid Key Detection: Automatically rotate the key if it is found to be invalid.
  2. **On-Demand Rotation & Audit History**
    1. Manual Key Rotation: Rotate the FileVault key of a specific device manually from the Device Details section.
    2. Audit Trail: View historical changes to the FileVault key and the last validation timestamp under Device Details.
