# Renew and Reconfigure ADE Server Token

By configuring Scalefusion to manage your ADE devices, you can enforce them to become Supervised during the first time they are Unboxed and also enroll into Scalefusion Dashboard.

This document describes the process of renewing and reconfiguring ADE token from Scalefusion Dashboard.

## Before You Begin

1. [ADE Setup](/docs/manage-dep-devices-using-scalefusion) is done on Scalefusion Dashboard.

## Renew ADE Server token

When you setup Scalefusion to manage your ADE devices, an ADE server token is generated, which has an expiry of one year. Hence, the token has to be renewed before expiry so that Scalefusion can communicate and continue with managing ADE devices.

## Reconfigure ADE Server Token

At times Scalefusion's communication with Apple ADE server account ceases to exist due to change in terms and conditions from Apple's side or for other reasons like accidentally deleting your ADE server account. In such cases, you need to reconfigure ADE token to re-establish the connection.

## Steps to Renew/Reconfigure ADE Server token

1. Login to Scalefusion Dashboard.
2. Navigate to **Getting Started > Apple Setup**.
3. Click on **Renew Server ADE token** under the **Automated Device Enrollment**tab.If you are reconfiguring, click on Reconfigure ADE token![](https://cdn.document360.io/175c0eac-012f-4410-bdc5-ac60794f82d8/Images/Documentation/image-1786365141509.png)
4. Download Scalefusion ADE Public Key: On the next screen, click on **DOWNLOAD Scalefusion** **ADE** **TOKEN**. This will download ***ADE******TokenKey.pem*** file to your Downloads folder or to the folder that you have set as the downloads folder.
5. Click **NEXT**.

6. You will get the following screen

7. Log in to Apple Business Portal at [**https://business.apple.com**](https://business.apple.com)
8. From the top navigation bar, select **Devices**
9. Click on **Management Services** and select a Device Management Service

10. Next, click on three dots and **Edit**

11. Upload the certificate and click **Save**

12. Go to three dots menu, click on **Download Token** to download the token

13. Navigate back to Scalefusion Dashboard. Click **Next** on the screen (shown under Step 4)
14. Upload the downloaded server token to Scalefusion Dashboard by clicking on **Browse Files** and click **Next**.

This will renew/reconfigure the ADE server token.

## Sync ADE Devices

Once reconfigured you need to sync the devices. Only then the devices added under Apple Business, will become visible on Scalefusion Dashboard. To sync,

1. On Scalefusion Dashboard, click on any of the cards under Total Devices.

2. You will get the following screen. Here, click on **Sync Now**.

3. In few minutes, refresh the webpage. You should be able to see all the devices on Scalefusion Dashboard which are assigned to Scalefusion MDM server under Apple Business.
