# Introduction to Scalefusion for Windows

Windows is by far the most used operating system in enterprises, right from SMEs to Fortune 500 companies. With most of your workforce, which can be both on-field or in-office, using Windows-based hardware devices, it becomes imperative to have a device management & data security strategy.

### Minimum Requirements

- **Operating System:** Windows 10, 11, 7, 8.1
- **Versions:** Pro, Enterprise, Business, Education, Home

  Managing Windows **OS** **7, 8.1,** and **Home** editions is supported only if they are enrolled via [Scalefusion MDM agent-based enrollment](/docs/agent-based-enrollment). 

- **Build Number:**
  - Windows 11 - 22H2 & above
  - Windows 10 - 1803 & above
- **Devices:** Desktops, Laptops, Surface Pro, Surface Core, Windows IoT devices (running LTSC versions)

#### Windows 10 Pro and above feature set

With Microsoft's Modern Management and Scalefusion's MDM Agent, managing your enterprise Windows 10 Pro and above devices is seamless with an assortment of policies and settings to help you get firm control of your enterprise devices.
